Residential building types re-classified

In March this year, Statistics NZ reclassified residential building consents into four categories.  This change offers more opportunity for analysis of residential building trends going forward, but also requires us to familiarise ourselves with the new data breakdown.  This article will outline the changes in residential building classifications and discuss how these changes affect how we look at trends for each new classification.
