Are we building quick enough to house migrants?
International migration data for February released this week showed annual migration surging to a net inflow of 67,391 people. This level of net migration represents a 1.5% lift in New Zealand’s population. What’s more, given the persistence of momentum in the number of people arriving here, we expect to see annual net migration pushing above 71,000 by the middle of the year.
