Did building activity pick up in the March quarter?

In the December quarter, total building work put in place fell short of our expectations due to lower-than-anticipated results for Auckland and Canterbury. With the March quarter building work put in place data coming out next week, we expect to see some recuperation of this shortfall in the numbers for these regions as the backlog of construction work builds up.
