Does Brexit really matter for New Zealand?

Financial markets have settled down somewhat after a big initial reaction to the shock Brexit decision. British economic growth is expected to be weaker over the next two years as a result of the referendum. Trade flows are likely to be affected by the departure of the UK from the EU, although how big those effects are will depend on how much of an example the EU wants to make of Britain to deter other countries from leaving as well. We also outline a number of areas where we see the Brexit decision potentially affecting our forecasts.
