Is the Clean Car Import Standard achievable?

In response to recommendations from the Climate Change Commissions, the government is in the process of legislating a Clean Car Import Standard. The Standard is being designed so light vehicles brought into New Zealand will have lower emissions. For this goal to be achieved, electric vehicles, hybrids, and more fuel-efficient vehicles will have to make up a greater proportion of new and used imports entering the country.
