Fleet electrification and the electricity squeeze

The vehicle fleet is expected to look completely different in a couple of decades. With a far greater proportion of electric vehicles in the fleet, it will require a significant increase in electricity generation as we switch our energy consumption away from the pump towards the national electricity grid. This new wave of transport will change roading infrastructure. Eventually, petrol pumps may be considered a bygone technology and electric vehicle charging stations ubiquitous.
