Freight costs hit differently
A recurring theme among our clients recently has been worries about supply lines and the associated rise in freight costs. Guessing how long these disruptions will last is like guessing how long our borders will remain closed, and unfortunately the longer they go on, the more we believe this effect isn’t just a transitory one. Global production and consumption patterns have changed so dramatically that supply lines are finding it difficult to keep up. However, it is possible to evaluate which import and export industries will be most affected by rising freight costs and explore some ways to avoid this issue.
